It is structured into an introduction, three body parts and a conclusion. The first part offers a brief overview of the relevant legislation, not only in terms of constitutional law, but also ordinary acts and European regulations. The second part focuses on the classification of the Czech political system in context of the three basic forms of republican government, which are the presidential system, the semi- presidential system, and the parliamentary system. This classification establishes basic points of departure, which are useful in certain situations for the identification of a more systemically appropriate interpretation. This section also deals with the theoretical possibility of changing the type of government system solely based on the President's exercising his powers and offers the views of political scientists and constitutional lawyers on this issue. The third and main part, divided into individual chapters titled according to...

Political determinants and development of Israel's military strategy
Teissigová, Andrea ; Perottino, Michel (advisor) ; Bahenský, Vojtěch (referee)
Tato bakalářská práce sleduje vliv politické scény Izraele na vývoj izraelské strategie v průběhu historie a konfliktů, kterými si stát Izrael doposud prošel. Nejprve se práce zabývá strategií obecně, definicí války, strategií Izraele a charakteristikou politiky v Izraeli. Dále vznikem Izraele, konflikty a rozebírá vlády Izraele v průběhu konfliktů.

Imperator and gubernator. Overlap of functions of two prime ministers from the perspective of constitutional law, comparative politics and theoretical "Staatswissenschaft"
Vanča, Matouš ; Brunclík, Miloš (advisor) ; Švec, Kamil (referee)
Author Matouš Vanča Title Imperator and Gubernator. Overlap of Functions of Two Prime Ministers from the Perspective of Constitutional Law, Comparative Politics and Theoretical 'Staatswissenschaft' Abstract This thesis deals with the so-called 'problem of the two PMs', i.e. situation during the alternation of governments in the Czech Republic when the two Prime Ministers coexist shortly at the same time. This specific situation is a potential source of extensive conflict over the authority to exercise the constitutional powers of the Prime Minister. In the first chapter the whole issue is analyzed from the historical point of view-it could be regarded as a relatively new matter of the current Czech constitution, however, even in the older Czechoslovak constitutional tradition, problems of a similar type can be found that have not yet been given more attention. The second chapter presents the views of constitutional lawyers on the whole topic-they are divided into three basic hypotheses, "denialism hypothesis", "one-hour hypothesis" and "Benelux hypothesis". In the third chapter there is a comprehensive comparison within the European Union-the mechanisms of government alternation in particular European constitutions are analyzed, their strengths and weaknesses are discussed and the states are categorized...

Solution of the conflict between the representatives of executive power in a semi-presidential system: the case of Finland
Havlenová, Jitka ; Němec, Jan (advisor) ; Kuta, Martin (referee)
The thesis deals with the transfer of powers within the executive of the Finnish president to the Prime Minister. Its aim is to analyze the gradual change in distribution of powers which at the same time entails the transition from the semi-presidential system to parliamentarism. It also aims to find out what were the causes of these changes. The thesis should confirm that Finland can already be considered a pure parliamentary system. It focuses on the practical performance of foreign policy which is often a subject of disputes between the representatives of the executive. The aim is to find out whether the Finnish policy implemented within the European Union is at the level of domestic or foreign policy. The first part is devoted to the very concept of the semi-presidential system, its origin and different theoretical views of political scientists who have dealt with this issue. The following part deals with the characteristics of semi-presidential system in Finland and describes the process of changing the role of the president. The last chapter analyzes the constitutional amendments and the new constitution. It compares the powers assigned to the head of the state and to the Prime Minister according to the old constitution and the new one.
